Conference Manager

Summary: Full-time Conference Manager with strong international experience to support in-person, virtual, and hybrid events for federal government clients.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Demonstrated track record of managing international and domestic meetings involving international travelers
  • Tracking contract/task order budgets, reviewing invoices
  • Attendee and speaker management
  • Making travel arrangements in accordance with the Federal Travel Regulation (FTR)
  • Site selection and negotiation of hotel contracts
  • Negotiation of webinar and other vendor contracts
  • Oversight of promotional and collateral materials development
  • On-site management and logistical support
  • Post-meeting services including reports and payment of honoraria and reimbursements

JOB QUALIFICATIONS
  • Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) designation
  • Bachelor's degree or higher
  • 5+ years supporting Federal government contracts
  • 3+ years managing health-related or scientific meetings
  • Experience with MS Office and meeting planning software, online registration tools, databases and other related technologies

This position is a virtual/telework position. Individuals must be available to work some evenings and weekends, and be equipped to telework. They require the ability to work quickly and efficiently on several projects at one time. Qualified candidates are detail-oriented and ethusiastic with strong customer service and time management skills.
