Project Manager


Rockville based government contractor seeking an experienced Project Manager to provide on-site management of a large‑scale Federal project headquartered in Washington, DC. Individual will oversee a fast paced, highly visible, and multi-faceted project that requires expertise in the development of standard operating procedures, process improvements and integration to enhance operational productivity and efficiencies. Candidate will be responsible for managing and coordinating multiple project schedules, budgets, resources and deliverables. A client-centric approach and customer service attitude are essential.

Education/Experience

  • B.A./B.S. and 10 years of project management with a primary focus on Operations
  • PMP certification required
  • PMO experience preferred

Job Responsibilities
  • Supports senior official by working with internal stakeholders in multiple divisions
  • Develops and manages multiple projects, divisions, and deadlines to accomplish project objectives.
  • Develops and implements administrative procedures and reports to capture and communicate project status to client and vendor management.
  • Monitors project schedules to ensure timely delivery of products and services
  • Identifies and resolves emerging risks, issues and challenges.
  • Works with clients to create business processes and business area integration.
  • Continuously evaluates products, quality assurance processes, and control mechanisms.
  • Makes and suggests operational and administrative improvements.
  • Develops or supervises the development of research methodologies, tools, and analyses. Employs appropriate project management methodologies and tools to achieve desired project outcomes.
  • Experienced in managing and tracking budgets.
  • Skilled in maintaining effective client relations and communications.
  • Effective oral and written communications.
  • Adept in managing and motivating project staff.
  • Evaluates employee performance.
  • Effective in managing projects and proposing strategies to overcome project challenges.
  • Able to manage consultant scheduling and deliverables and negotiate pricing concessions.
  • Collaborates with internal and external customers and stakeholders.
  • Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality of sensitive information.
