Capture Manager/Business Development Specialist


BETAH is seeking an experienced Capture Manager/Business Development Specialist to join our growing team. The ideal candidate is responsible for new business development including opportunity identification and qualification, capture management, proposal development. This individual will develop, implement, a capture strategy to achieve revenue goals and planned corporate growth within the Federal sector. The candidate must be strategic, highly motivated, and possess verifiable expertise in winning and capturing new business.

Responsibilities:
  • Lead capture strategy, develop and execute a plan to win new contracts and foster organic growth on existing contracts through understanding client needs, defining value proposition, conducting risk analysis cost and teaming strategies, and technical solutioning.
  • Develop marketing strategies that align with the BETAH’s strategic plan
  • Executes a comprehensive Call Plan/Office Visit Plan for key customer individuals
  • Identify, track, and qualify leads and conduct pre-bid intelligence gathering,
  • Developed strategic partnerships with small contractors (e.g., SDVOSBs, VOSBs, 8(a), MBEs, WOSB, etc.), large businesses, as well as federal customers.
  • Develops and presents pursuit and bid decisions briefings to management
  • Develops marketing materials and briefings for customer calls and meetings
  • Lead, facilitate, and manage proposal efforts including win themes, proposal organization, and storyboarding, proposal content creation, management and editing, compliance matrices, color reviews, and competitive pricing.
  • Create proposal templates and resource repository in a virtual knowledge library
  • Identify, attend and represents BETAH at outreach events and industry days, conferences, and relevant networking events.
  • Ensures all information relevant to capture strategy, leads and client data are updated on a regular basis in the CRM tool

Education and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • 5 plus years of sales/business development or related experience within the Federal Government sector
  • Develop successful capture management plans
  • Experience with developing strategic pricing and conducting Price-to-Win analysis
  • Excellent sales acumen as well as verbal and written communication skills
  • Self-starter with ability to work independently and juggle numerous projects in fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational skills
  • Knowledgeable and comfortable using market intelligence software such as Bloomberg Government or GovWin
  • Knowledge of the Shipley Business Development and Proposal Management models
