BETAH Associates Named Small Business Prime Contractor of the Year 

 

North Bethesda, MD – The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) has selected BETAH Associates as the 2024 Small Business Prime Contractor of the Year. This award recognizes BETAH’s invaluable support in helping the agency’s operating division achieve its mission. It is one of several Small Business Awards presented annually by the Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU) at HHS. 

 

This prestigious recognition highlights the outstanding contributions and achievements of BETAH Associates, showcasing the firm’s strong competencies in public health. BETAH provides support to numerous agencies within HHS, such as the Administration for Children and Families, Administration for Community Living, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services, Health Resources and Services Administration, Office of Infectious Disease and HIV/AIDS Policy, and 15 Institutes within the National Institutes of Health.

Federal Agency Taps BETAH Associates for Help in Studying Crime and Justice

(North Bethesda, MD)—BETAH Associates has been awarded a contract to assist the National Institute of Justice (NIJ) in its mission to apply a science perspective to the justice system. The contract, a blanket purchase agreement with a ceiling of up to $31 million, has a base performance period of one year plus four 12-month option periods. 

 

BETAH will assist NIJ in conducting its rigorous portfolio of applied research on crime, managing logistics and providing support for all phases of NIJ programs and initiatives. Tasks include managing meetings, conferences, and travel for new and ongoing extramural and intramural research; overseeing consultant assignments and other vital program support; and securing the expertise necessary to produce top-quality reports, analyses, and reviews. 

 

“NIJ is dedicated to improving knowledge and understanding of crime through science,” said BETAH’s President and CEO Michelle Taylor. “We look forward to continuing our work supporting the U.S. Department of Justice, specifically working with NIJ to provide comprehensive research and evaluation technical assistance support services.”
